HABITAT for HUMANITY
Collegiate Challenge - Spring 2020 CVU has sponsored successful Habitat for Humanity trips for almost 20-years and we are excited to offer this trip once again to interested students, age sixteen by April 20, 2020. This is an incredibly powerful win-win trip for students. Students get to experience another part of the country and help others who are less fortunate than many of us. They will also meet CVU students they may not have met before, creating new friendships that last a lifetime. They get to have an "alternative" spring break and enjoy some warm weather, and, it looks good on their transcript/resume or makes an excellent college essay! This year we will be traveling to Winston-Salem, North Carolina over April vacation to participate in their Collegiate Challenge program. We will be leaving on Saturday, April 18 and returning on Sunday April 26. On both legs of our trip we will be spending a night in Washington, DC. Since we are limited as to the number of students we can bring (30), and interest in the past has been high, we ask that you complete the attached application and submit it as soon as possible. Selections are based on a “first come, first served” basis for all eligible students. A deposit of $100 is required to reserve a space for your student. The remaining amount will be due in two separate installments, totaling approximately $650 for the trip. Don't delay in signing up for this trip as we have only 30 spaces available. |
