When does it happen?
It is the current plan that every band student will have one opportunity to join this trip. In 2018, 10-12 graders were included, so the next time this trip might run would be February of 2021.
What does it cost?
This year’s trip cost $3,599 per student (quad rooms), and that price included everything except meals in the airports.
Who can go?
The trip is open to all band students. The specific grades (9, 10, 11, 12) that will be allowed to participate will be announced at the beginning of the process for each trip, and are dependent on band enrollments for the upcoming year. Numbers for the trip are limited by a variety of factors, and an application process is required.
Is scholarship money available?
There is limited scholarship money available. At the informational meeting that kicks off the trip, information will be given on how to access this money.
Is fund-raising going to happen?
Yes. Mr. Miskavage will organize a few fund-raisers. Parents are welcome to organize as many as they can get together, as long as each one goes through the CVU system. It is realistic to raise $300-500, although it’s possible to raise much more.
